The skin in the area is still a bit dry and flaky but the pustules are completely gone. This cream seems to have completely wiped out my folliculitis in 1 day. I noticed this had lactobacillus (probiotic) in it which studies have shown to be helpful in fighting bad bacteria such as Staph. The reason I tried this is because I have read on here a few users having success by fixing their gut and taking probiotics, something of which I had recently started to pay more attention to by taking probiotics every morning (200g of Kefir) and increasing the amount of fibre I eat. Solution I recently tried out this Clinique Redness Solutions cream which has microbiome technology (probiotic) in it as well salicylic acid. Something else to note is that I tend to keep my beard trimmed with a trimmer using no guard and haven’t wet shaved in years. Treatments such as Benzoyl peroxide (5%) wash or leave on masks never worked for me and only caused more dryness, which led to inflamed, itchy skin which made it way worse to control and deal with. I was an acne sufferer as a teenager and took high dose accutane for around a year. In the past I took long term antibiotics (1 year plus) which did not work at all.

I typically controlled this with topical antibiotic creams (like Fucidic acid which worked a treat but in recent times stopped working and had to move onto Mupirocin) as well as a salicylic acid glycolic acid mix wash which the derm prescribed me.

I have always known that my issue was caused by skin dryness in some way, I would feel a wave of dry skin and then comes the uncontrollable yellow pustules outburst, this was exacerbated by going to the gym and sweating or cold weather.
